The whole string and lantern thing didn’t really work. My string wasn’t nearly long enough and for me to find longer string is not that easy up here in the hills. The Spanish LOVE string more than any other nation I think. They build houses out of, they tie their cars together with it and they make hectares of macramé bean growing perfect wigwams out of it so I am sure there is a special string shop somewhere but I don’t know where.
On to more interesting things….I cleaned the pottery yesterday ready for action today. I intended to get going on a completely new idea with some white clay from my Granada supplier, who incidentally has made absolutely no inroads into his weights and measures dictum from the King and the place still looks like a spice market at the end of trading. The new idea is this, a relief tile, shown here in the wet.
