FAB Ice Lolly Jar
A studio piece and part of the collection of work on ‘Restorative Nostalgia’.
A slipware jar, APPROX 26 cm tall.
Executed 2020. earthenware
This is a small perfectly proportioned vividly coloured slipware jar. The form of hand built red Staffordshire earthenware illustrated with Fab Ice Lollies against white and black stripes using slipware traditions of slip trailing and slip painting; finished with a transparent gloss glaze to 1120°C oxidation gas firing.
